Sir Harry Burns, Former Chief Medical Officer and Renowned Public Health Authority

Sir Harry Burns is now Professor of Global Public Health for Strathclyde

University as well as Chair of the Wheatley Foundation.

He has become renowned for his work to understand and tackle health inequalities, having performed Ted Talks, written numerous articles and undertaken countless interviews on the subject. Sir Harry was knighted in 2011 in recognition of his outstanding achievement and service to society.

Paul Condron, Brand Director, asks Sir Harry Burns,

"What is the one most significant piece of advice you would give to those of us considering how to start of their Non-Exec journey?"

What should a company expect of a Non-Executive Director?

How has your experience in surgery and public health and working in government equipped you to take on Non-Executive Director roles?
Also, if you could go back and give advice to your younger self, what would it be?

We are thrilled that Sir Harry Burns will be sharing more of his extensive experience at our forthcoming Non-Executive Director Academy.
