At MM Search, we firmly believe in fostering a strong community of HR Leaders who drive change and shape the future of the industry. From conversations with some of our clients and contacts within HR, we realised there was a gap in the market for an informal, thought-provoking community – so we created one!

Late 2023 saw the launch of our ‘HR Leaders CoMMunity’ consisting of an ever-expanding group of esteemed HR Leaders from Scotland and the wider UK from diverse sectors. So far, we have hosted 3 successful sell-out roundtable events which serve as a platform for sharing insights, exchanging ideas, and generating innovative solutions to the challenges faced by HR professionals today.

The MM Search HR Leaders Community exists to create an informal environment where HR professionals can connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. By uniting experts across various sectors, we aim to facilitate knowledge-sharing, empowering leaders to share experiences and insights. Some of the feedback we have received from recent events has been phenomenal, see below:

Some of the hot topics covered by our HR Leaders to date have included talent acquisition and retention, the impact of hybrid working patterns and the phenomenon that is AI.  During the events, the HR Leaders shared their experiences and strategies for overcoming these challenges and supported each other in identifying collective solutions and best practices.

Reflecting on the past six months as the Business Delivery Manager heading up the IT/Tech division at MM Search has been a journey of growth and achievement. Navigating the dynamic and fast-paced business landscape has come with its highs and lows. Here are 6 things I have learned from the past 6 months during my time at MM Search.

1. Building Relationships: I have always been a strong believer that the foundation of success in recruitment lies in building strong and genuine relationships with clients and candidates. By taking the time to understand their unique needs and challenges, I have been able to provide tailored solutions that exceed their expectations.

2. Effective Communication: Clear and concise communication is crucial in conveying the value of our executive search services. Mastering the art of explaining complex information in a simple and compelling manner has allowed me to connect with clients and effectively showcase MM Search’s people-focused approach.

3. Listening with Purpose: Actively listening to clients has allowed me to understand their goals and pain points, enabling me to offer targeted solutions. By truly understanding their needs, I have been able to provide them with the best possible service and build long-term partnerships.

4. Embracing Innovation: The world of executive search is continually evolving, driven by technological advancements and emerging trends. Embracing innovation and staying updated with the latest industry practices has allowed me to remain ahead of the competition and offer our clients cutting-edge solutions.

5. Collaboration and Teamwork: Achieving success is a collective effort, and collaboration with colleagues across different departments has been invaluable. Leveraging the expertise and knowledge of our talented team has allowed us to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Reflecting on these past six months, I feel privileged to be part of an organisation that values growth, collaboration, and most importantly, client satisfaction.
