Our fifth year has been an amazing one so far for MM Search with significant financial growth, an expanding portfolio of clients and numerous staff appointments. We are pleased to report that our remarkable year has been further enhanced by being selected as finalists for the prestigious High Growth Company of the Year Award at the 2023 WeDo Scotland Awards.
The WeDo Scotland Awards commend the achievements of Scotland’s finest entrepreneurs and businesses. It is an honour for us to be nominated for the High Growth Company of the Year, which reflects the passion, resilience, and momentum that the MM Search team has demonstrated in recent years.
“We’re absolutely thrilled that our approach to executive search is being recognised and applauded,” says Founding Managing Partner, Ken Morrice. “When Derek and I launched the business, it was our goal to challenge the traditional executive search model and to disrupt the status quo. It’s incredibly rewarding to see our strategy pay off and for it to be celebrated by the wider industry.”
Since MM Search launched in 2018, the business has gone from strength to strength, reaching and exceeding the targets set by Founding Managing Partners Ken Morrice and Derek MacFeate.
In addition to financial success, MM Search’s client base continues to expand, with global brands Innis & Gunn, KCA Deutag and Alexander Dennis joining the portfolio. As well as welcoming new business from a range of sectors, the MM Search team is continuing its relationships with many long-term clients, including Wheatley Group, Beeks Financial Cloud, CJ Lang & Sons, Zotefoams and SMS Plc. These global partnerships have strengthened the brand’s overseas presence, and in the last year, MM Search has made successful placements in over 40 countries and doubled its retained client list.
This year has also seen the MM Search team grow significantly, with seven new team members joining the business. Managing Partner Ken Morrice says, “At MM Search, we know that a company is only as good as the people within it, and over the last year, we have been focusing on building the best team possible. As well as expanding our staff, we have also been nurturing and investing in the existing team, and we are delighted to have made three internal promotions this year. Our most recent appointment includes Associate Partner Lindsay MacLeod brought on to lead the business’s procurement and supply chain sectors while also developing the engineering, manufacturing and logistics offering.”
