The recently launched MM Athletes programme sees MM Search provide a diverse array of sportspeople with support that will help them to reach their full potential. As well as supporting legendary Scottish weightlifter, George Byng, and MM Search’s own triathlete, Ken Morrice, MM Athletes is proud to announce that the initiative will be sponsoring rugby player, Andrew Jardine, in the coming season.
When he’s not on the pitch with Biggar Rugby Club, Andrew Jardine plays the position of Client Engagement Executive at MM Search. Andrew’s journey into the world of executive search is somewhat unique and he is currently balancing his role in the office with studying for his final exams at the University of Stirling.
“I’m now in my final year of a degree in Sports and Marketing,” explains Andrew. “I never imagined that I would be able to start my career journey before I finished at university, but Ken and Derek have made it possible. The flexibility that working at MM Search offers me means that I have also been able to maintain my role as a number 12 with Biggar Rugby Club, which is a hugely important part of my life.
“The MM Search team have been very encouraging of my rugby career and to have secured sponsorship from the business is quite overwhelming.
“It’s a real source of pride that Ken, Derek, and all of my colleagues are behind me when I play for Biggar. The whole MM Search team came along to one of our recent games and hearing them cheering from the stands was an amazing boost. I’m so grateful to Ken and Derek for creating an environment that has enabled me to combine my sporting passion with my professional ambitions.”
Rugby is also very close to the heart of MM Search’s Founding Managing Partner, Derek MacFeate. “The importance of local rugby clubs within the community shouldn’t be underestimated,” says Derek. “We are very proud to sponsor Greenock Wanderers Rugby Football Club and we’re delighted to be able to offer Andrew player sponsorship too. He’s an incredibly hardworking individual and has created an admirable balance between his career, studies and sporting passion.”
